The Gathering, Stellenbosch, The Crater, 2026 Highlight Video
COMING BACK IN 2027 to ROBERTSON
Where it all began. . .
On 28 March 2026, we opened the gates to our very first gathering at The Crater Venue in Stellenbosch.
What started as an idea to bring a small group of people together for a day and night of music, nature and good energy became something far more memorable than we could have imagined.
Hidden away in the Stellenbosch landscape, The Crater gave our first event the perfect home — a natural, crater-like arena surrounded by grass, trees and two dams, creating an intimate space where everyone felt part of the same experience.
There were no massive stages or enormous crowds. That was never the point.
The Gathering was about bringing people together.
From the morning meditation and the first sounds of the day, through Funk, House and Techno and eventually into Psy-Trance after dark, the music evolved with the landscape and the people around it.
As afternoon became sunset, the energy shifted. Lights came alive, the dancefloor filled and our little corner of Stellenbosch transformed.
Our DJs — TheQuest, PsyberLink, FrequeNize, Oddity, TinCake and Poseidons Kiss — carried the journey from daytime grooves into Techno, Psy-Trance and the darker sounds of the early morning.
Around 80 people joined us for that first adventure.
Some danced. Some camped. Some explored. Some sat beside the dams and watched everything unfold.
But everyone helped create it.
The Gathering proved that an event doesn't need thousands of people to feel special. Sometimes all you need is the right place, the right music and a group of people willing to disappear from everyday life for a while.
It was experimental.
It was intimate.
It was a little strange.
And it was ours.
Most importantly, it was only the beginning.
The friendships, lessons, memories and energy created at The Crater became the foundation for what comes next.
