Set against the breathtaking Langeberg Mountains, Sanddrift is a small-scale working farm surrounded by wide-open countryside, fresh mountain air and the agricultural landscape of the Bonnivale valley.

Home to a beautiful pecan nut orchard, dairy farming, open fields and a mountain-fed irrigation dam, Sanddrift offers the kind of genuine farm atmosphere that makes you want to slow down, explore and spend a little more time outdoors.

The pecan orchard forms the heart of The Grounding. Beneath its canopy of pen nut trees, our festival will take shape for Halloween weekend — transforming a working piece of farmland into a temporary world of music, art, light and psychedelic adventure.

Sanddrift is a real working farm, run by a small team and surrounded by the sights and sounds of rural life.

Pecan nuts are harvested by hand on the farm, fresh milk comes from the dairy, and the landscape invites you to wander beneath the trees and appreciate the simplicity of life in the valley.

Beyond the orchard you'll find open farmland, mountain views and Sanddrift's irrigation dam, fed with water coming down from the mountains.

And then there are the nights.

Away from the city lights, the farm settles beneath an incredible country sky — animals and wildlife quietening down for the evening while the stars appear above the Langeberg.

For The Grounding, we'll be adding something slightly different to that soundtrack...

As the sun disappears behind the mountains, the pecan orchard will transform.

Lights illuminate the trees.
Art appears between the branches.
The dancefloor comes alive.
Creatures begin emerging for Halloween.

Music carries through the orchard as we dance beneath the trees and into the early hours of the morning.
